For many years, Kaori Nasu has captivated people with her gentle and delicate touch, as well as her heartwarming colors, in the world of book illustrations and magazines. The theme of this exhibition is “Mt. Fuji,” a symbol of Japan and a source of people’s faith and art since ancient times.

As the artist herself says, her depiction of Mt. Fuji is more than just a landscape painting. Fuji through the filter of Ms. Nasu is accompanied by the life that spreads at its foot. The lovely flowers and grasses in bloom, the adorable animals, and our human lives. Fuji coexists with them, weaving a rich story in warm, muted colors within a single painting.

The artist’s characteristic soft colors give the majesty of Fuji a familiar warmth and sparkle of life. Fuji, which we tend to overlook in our daily lives.
