Best known for sculptures of the human figure, Katsura Funakoshi (1951–2024) also maintained a prolific printmaking practice, working across a variety of techniques throughout a lifetime of artistic exploration.
Marking the opening of OpenDNA Space, this exhibition brings together ten prints and drawings by Funakoshi. Selected to accompany the beginning of this new space, the works invite visitors to pause, look closely and engage their imagination. Distinct from the artist's sculptures yet imbued with the same quiet presence, they draw viewers into the mysterious direction of a gaze that seems to reach beyond the visible.
