Since the solo exhibition in 2019, followed by major exhibitions at two museums, Keiji Uematsu has expanded their artistic depth and breadth. Uematsu, active since the 1970s in Germany and Japan, has participated in prestigious events like the 43rd Venice Biennale in 1988 and exhibited regularly in cities like London, Paris, and New York. Uematsu's accolades include winning the Teijiro Nakahara Prize in 2013 and exhibiting at notable public institutions such as the Ashiya City Museum of Art & History in 2021 and Kirishima Open Air Museum in 2022.
This exhibition explores Uematsu's fascination with unseen universal forces like gravity, through new sculptures, reliefs, and drawings featuring "branches" as symbols of life.
