Imura Art Gallery Kyoto presents the first solo exhibition of Keisuke Matsuura in Kyoto. Born in 1970, Matsuura studied at Tama Art University and graduated from the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. Since then, exhibitions have been held across Europe, along with large-scale outdoor installations. This exhibition features the notable Jiba series, new works from the Resonance series, and the emerging Ku series.
Matsuura's work investigates the boundaries between material and environment, using lines, shapes, and colors to create forms that resonate with non-material energies like light and gravity. These interactions lead to transformative visual experiences that transcend mere physicality.
