“KINUTANI Art Place Hiroo” has opened in Hiroo, Shibuya, Tokyo — a space where visitors can immerse themselves in the 70-year creative passion and vividly colored, life-affirming works of Koji Kinutani (1943–2025), recipient of the Order of Culture.
The venue offers visitors the opportunity to view his boldly expressive, energy-filled works up close, alongside exhibitions utilizing digital technologies such as projection mapping and large LED monitors. Regular painting and sculpture workshops as well as lectures will also be held, with the aim of creating a place where everyone can discover the joy of creative expression.
The inaugural opening exhibition, titled “ARS VITA ESTA VITA ARS ESTA — Art is Life, Life is Art —”, will feature seven paintings and three three-dimensional works. We warmly invite you to visit this new destination where you can experience the world of Koji Kinutani’s art firsthand.
