We are pleased to announce “Boundaries of Gaze,” a solo exhibition by Kohei Akiba, who has exhibited in Paris, New York, and Tokyo, and has gained international recognition for his works. The painting that serves as key visuals for this exhibition are characterized by intense brush strokes with red lines that at first glance appear to be abstract. However, the image of a “waving woman,” as the title suggests, gradually emerges in the viewer's consciousness, constantly wavering between figuration and abstraction. The fusion of intense brush strokes and subtle emotional expression is a unique world of expression that Akiba has reached through her past production experience.
