Kotaro Abe

Kotaro Abe was born into a fish farming family and the artist's unique creative process was inspired both by the making of food and the belief in quiet resistance. For instance, the paints are created from ingredients found in the foods we eat every day. "Passenger" is a confession that the artist's internal conflicts and fences fuel the artist's creations, and the works on display, which resemble monsters and monstrous creatures, can inspire struggle or liberation in the viewer.
