Kyoto Modern Architecture Festival (Okazaki Area)

Kyoto City Kyocera Museum of Art
Finished
There is much modern architecture in Kyoto. Of course, this is because there was little damage from wars and earthquakes. But that alone is not enough to preserve architecture. Without the will and efforts of people who have inherited, protected, and loved these structures, they would not be here today. It is a miracle that modern architecture, which has been carefully preserved and passed down to the present, is alive today to enrich and bring culture to the city.

The Kyoto Modern Architecture Festival is the first event of its kind in Kyoto and was created with the hope that Kyoto's buildings and activities will be passed on as "living cultural assets" and move forward into the future together in a form appropriate to the times.
