Love for Tableware

Bowls for soup, plates and bowls for serving food, cups and tokuri (sake cups) for drinking sake, teacups for drinking tea, and coffee cups for coffee... There are a wide variety of dishes that bring color to daily meals, depending on their materials, shapes, colors, and designs, as well as their uses.

This exhibition will feature tableware from various regions, including not only Japanese tableware but also tableware from China, Southeast Asia, and Europe. Also on display will be the combination of tableware used in tea ceremonies for chakaiseki (tea ceremony dishes).
