Galerie Taménaga is pleased to present Marc Chagall: 40 Years in Remembrance, on view from November 8 (Sat) to December 7 (Sun), 2025. This exhibition brings together approximately thirty paintings by Marc Chagall (1887–1985), one of the greatest masters of 20th-century art, marking the 40th anniversary of his passing.

Born in Vitebsk, then part of the Russian Empire, Chagall developed a unique artistic world deeply rooted in Jewish faith and folklore, while pursuing his creative path in Paris and the South of France. Despite living through turbulent times marked by war and exile, his works consistently evoke universal themes such as love, hope, nostalgia, and dreams.

This exhibition focuses on one of Chagall’s most iconic motifs — the bouquet. For Chagall, flowers symbolized love, happiness, remembrance, and life itself, intimately reflecting the joys and sorrows of his own journey.

Through more than thirty works, visitors are invited to experience the enchanting and poetic world of the “magician of color,” whose art continues to inspire and move audiences around the world.
