Artist Masakatsu Shimoda presents an immersive exhibition of dinosaur sculptures made by sewing together pieces of canvas. Resembling oversized dinosaur skeletons, these large-scale works fill the gallery with a playful prehistoric world.
Designed to be worn, the sculptures are brought to life as "Dinosaur Humans" by actor Arata Furuta and performance artist Aoi Yamada. Photographs and videos of the two wearing the works, created exclusively for the exhibition at Shibuya Parco, are on view throughout the exhibition.
A unique feature of the exhibition is the use of QR codes hidden throughout the skeletal installations. By scanning them with a smartphone, visitors can unlock a variety of digital content and discover new layers of Shimoda's imaginative dinosaur universe.
