Masterpiece Exhibition: National Treasure "Red and White Plum Blossom Screen"

MOA Museum of Art
Finished
The MOA Museum of Art's collection is centered on Oriental art, particularly Japanese and Chinese art, collected by the museum's founder, Mokichi Okada (1882-1955). The collection spans a wide range of genres, including paintings, calligraphy, sculptures, and crafts, and includes works that are essential to discussing the art and culture of each era.
This exhibition will simultaneously display three national treasures: the "Red and White Plum Blossoms Screen," the "Colored Wisteria Design Tea Jar" by Nonomura Ninsei, a master of Kyoto ware, and the famous hand-painted "Hanbokujo" (Castle of Ink), one of the three major mirrors of the time. In addition, we will also be showcasing a selection of masterpieces representing each genre of the collection. Please enjoy the plum blossoms in the early spring, along with the adjacent Zuiunkyo Plum Garden.
