Harunobu Suzuki, Hokusai Katsushika, Hiroshige Utagawa et al.
In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Kawasaki City, a special exhibition will showcase the renowned ukiyo-e collection from the Kawasaki Isago-no-Sato Museum, represented by Fumio Saito, who has long been known for his collection of ukiyo-e prints.
The Fumio Saito Collection, which currently holds 6,000 works, has received high acclaim and has been featured in numerous exhibitions both in Japan and abroad in recent years. This exhibition will present masterpieces from the collection, focusing on ukiyo-e and hand-painted works from the early Edo period to the Meiji era. Highlights include the world's only complete set of Harunobu Suzuki's "Furyu Yatsushi Nana Komachi," Hokusai Katsushika's "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji," and Hiroshige Utagawa's "One Hundred Famous Views of Edo." Additionally, lesser-known masterpieces and works related to Kawasaki will be introduced, exploring their diverse allure.
