Midori Arai
Midori Arai is a remarkable artist who completed her graduate studies at Kyoto University of Arts in 2022. Arai's works are characterized by the coexistence of delicate, light colors and strong strokes, and by the complex composition of layers of oil paint, pencil, and pastel. Her childhood experience as a sickly child made her aware of the limits of her body, and she has been dealing with the daily flow of time. In her works, traces of her own physical and unconscious movements are reflected.
Viewers will have the opportunity to deepen their thoughts about the existence of the other by reliving the traces of her handwriting in her works and discovering the differences between her own body and that of the artist.
