Awa indigo-dyed washi, which was once a craft, has matured with the times, and in recent years, it has been looked upon as an artistic material, with increased possibilities for size and design. It has expanded its use as a traditional material and in interior spaces, creating spatial compositions with a strong sense of presence. This exhibition will showcase works by Mieko Fujimori, a dyer of Awa aizome washi, who has made creative indigo-dyed washi into art panels.
