Artists

Mika Yoshizawa
Mika Yoshizawa transitioned in the 1990s to a style of painting abstract forms on large surfaces supported by materials such as resin and acrylic boards, from the artist's early years, where improvisational elements played a strong role. By moving away from traditional canvas and oil paint, Yoshizawa found a unique style in both materials and paint. She continues to evolve her distinctive style to this day. Yoshizawa's distinctive style continues to evolve today. Considering the renewed interest in art of the 1980s and 1990s, this exhibition reflects on Yoshizawa's paintings from the 1990s.
