Mioka Matsuura
Born in 2001 in Tokyo, Mioka Matsuura is currently enrolled in the Oil Painting Department of the Tama Art University. In addition to actively participating in external exhibitions, she has received awards such as the Shell Art Award 2021 Jury Prize and selection for face2021, demonstrating her energetic artistic output across various media despite being a young artist.

The exhibition title "wsiw¿" is a term coined by Matsuura, representing an abbreviation for "what should I wear?" It explores the theme of how to present oneself in a diverse contemporary society where various values have become prevalent.

While Matsuura has worked on three-dimensional pieces like oil paintings and stuffed animals, this exhibition will feature new works primarily focusing on clothing and charcoal drawings. She will create original stuffed animals using fabric and incorporate them into her innovative painting expression, outputting them on a flat surface using charcoal. Witness the unique artistic world created by combining clothing with her distinctive vision at the venue.

* The exhibited works in this exhibition will be available for exclusive sale on ArtSticker. Sales will commence on a first-come, first-served basis from 8:00 AM on December 2, 2023 (Saturday).
