Kozo Naganuma
Naganuma Kozo Sculpture Gallery showcases the works and personal items of sculptor Kozo Naganuma, highlighting the artistic journey. The gallery holds three exhibitions annually to introduce the artist's vision. The current exhibition focuses on Naganuma's later works inspired by "Isazawa Nenbutsu Odori," an intangible cultural asset of Nagai City. Additionally, it features pieces dedicated to the local samurai class and materials related to Naganuma's artistic process. The exhibition also includes sculptures influenced by "Hana no Nagai," a female statue prototype, and the municipal skill of Nagai City, "Kendama." Visitors are invited to explore Naganuma's expressive world, shaped by a lifelong exploration of Japanese forms and a deep love for the artist's hometown.
