This summer, the Sendai Literature Museum will host an exhibition featuring picture book and kamishibai artist Hideko Nagano. Celebrating its 30th year next year, her renowned "Taiko Setouchi-san" series has been beloved by many readers. Nagano describes her picture books as making "difficult things easy to understand, interesting, enjoyable, and yet profound, filled with the most important things." The exhibition will showcase original artworks from books like "The Day Mom Became Mom" and "Heaven," offering a warm, generous, and gentle world of her creations. Additionally, until August 25th, storytelling sessions and a "Picture Book Room" will be available.
