Naho Ide
Naho Ide creates textured landscape paintings with oil paints, oil pastels, calcite, and shells. Although Ide's works might appear abstract at first glance, they depict landscapes the artist imagines while hiking or reading novels. They are not merely faithful representations of visible landscapes, but rather a combination of memories, imaginations, and hopes that come alive within the artist. In continuation of last year's show, many works in this show feature rain as the theme. Although rain is often associated with disasters, Ide believes that it also serves to wash away unpleasant things and bring order to the world.
