Naoki Ishikawa x Toshiharu Ito Cross-Talk: Marebito / Climate / Japan Sea

Akita City Cultural Creation Center
Finished

Artists

Naoki Ishikawa, Toshiharu Ito
Photographer Naoki Ishikawa, known for capturing Raiho-shin (ritual visits of deities in masks and costumes) events, is revisiting traditional winter events in Akita. Toshiharu Ito, a native of Akita, has been involved in a variety of critical activities at the intersection of art, science, and technology. Rarely delving into writings about the hometown, "Akita: Its Climate and Global Nature" was published in a magazine last summer, inspired by Ishikawa's photographs. The crosstalk between Ishikawa and Ito is expected to offer new perspectives on Akita's climate.
