Naoko Seki has been presenting her "Tracing" series of handmade photo books. In this exhibition, in addition to the "Tracing" series made by pasting photos onto free paper, Sekinaoko will exhibit collage works using photos developed from the same series.
From “tracing," a collection of photographs that can be held in one's hand, to “tracing," which can be pasted on a wall. The title "Tracing x Tracing" reflects the artist's intention to expand on the series. The background of this exhibition is the process of gradual change that has taken place as the artist has continued to create art.
"Tracing" began with the process of pasting cut-out photographs onto a sheet of free paper placed on a table. In the "Tracing" series, completed as a handmade photo book, the viewer also drops his or her perspective, and the vertical movement is repeated. However, "Tracing," which will be exhibited on the wall this time, is exposed to the viewer's gaze from the horizontal position.
