The structure series awakens discarded materials sleeping in the unconscious of the city, wandering in search of new forms. Through time absorbed into the materials, and through intentions passed via the refracted lens of the artist, questions are built that appear to hold no gravity. Released from function, structure, and meaning, the materials meet the light of AFTER US, inviting us to imagine the landscape of the earth once humanity is gone. What lies there is not an apocalypse. Time flows, matter weathers, and the post-Anthropocene world slowly renews itself. This work is an apparatus for observing the time and space that will continue — with human existence displaced from the center of the world. The exhibition presents an installation built primarily from salvaged materials, alongside iron objects, drawings, and small-scale works. Natural daylight and evening lighting give the works a different presence at each hour of the day.
