Nathan Lerner
Nathan Lerner (1913-1997) is an artist from Chicago whose parents were Ukrainian immigrants. Lerner has worked in a variety of fields, including painting, photography, film, product design, and architecture, and took part in the New Bauhaus movement. This exhibition will introduce Lerner's diverse career through early paintings, compositional reliefs, avant-garde photographs of his experiments with light, and portraits of people living through difficult times in the 1930s, as well as photographs and product design drawings created in Japan in the 1970s. Additionally, the Nathan Lerner 1913-1997 catalog will be released along with this exhibition.
