This exhibition is a group exhibition aimed at promoting artistic exchange between Japan and China and fostering the development of artists. It features works by artists who studied classical painting techniques under Noriyuki Akagi, as well as invited artists. Classical painting techniques form the foundation of artistic expression cultivated over a long period of time. This exhibition showcases works that build upon these techniques while incorporating a contemporary sensibility. A diverse range of subjects are explored, from realistic portraits to still lifes, landscapes, and symbolic motifs, with each artist developing their expression from their own unique perspective. A distinctive feature of this exhibition is that while Japanese and Chinese artists share the same technical background, their expressions are developed through different cultures and sensibilities. It offers an opportunity to demonstrate how classical techniques are being updated and expanded into new forms of expression in the modern era. Cooperation: Reiwa Japan-China Cultural and Artistic Exchange Association
