Artists

Haruka Teshima
Nihonga painter Haruka Teshima begins the creative process by walking in nature, sketching multiple small landscape scenes from varying viewpoints. The finished works are layered compositions depicting quivering water surfaces and swaying plant shadows. These images encapsulate passing time and convey a quiet presence in those moments. Teshima's latest project centers on Mt. Asama near Fuchu Art Museum, capturing the mountain's essence amidst urban surroundings.
