"Hyakunin Isshu" (One Hundred Poets, One Poem Each) – is the most famous anthology of Japanese Waka poems. It is a collection of one hundred original poems spanning one hundred poets.

Saga Arashiyama is the home of "Hyakunin Isshu" which brought a greatly influence on Japanese culture. This permanent exhibition introduces its history from the birth of Hyakun Isshu to the recent competitive karuta.
