"Pink de Tea Time" is an experimental program where students from various departments of Hiroshima City University engage in exchanges with local curators, artists, and other professionals over about a year. They continuously contemplate, discuss, and present their thought processes and techniques for artwork creation. This program is organized by the shared studio "Studio Pink House," located adjacent to the Art Gallery Miyautchi.
Starting last year, and continuing into 2023, three students from Hiroshima City University, two curators from the Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art, and one local artist from Hiroshima participated. Tea-time sessions have been held since before summer, facilitating exchanges about the students' artwork plans and ideas. This initiative, neither a university class nor a private tutoring session, aims to provide an opportunity for long-term exchanges where unexpected ideas and solutions can emerge from casual conversations during tea breaks.
Following the success of the first exhibition held in January 2024, we are pleased to announce the second exhibition, which marks the culmination of the activities of the 2023 members.
