Platform 29.8" is a group exhibition featuring 19 creators who have been using ANB Tokyo 6F as their studio since May 2022. The studio members include company employees, students, freelancers, and others. The methods of expression range from painting, sculpture, photography, video, performance, and more. The activities of the studio members, who gathered with a common interest in a diverse community and a place for production and presentation, will be presented in an open studio format seven times from July to November, with the final group exhibition to be held in conjunction with the closing of ANB Tokyo.
"Platform," refers to a station platform or scaffolding, and has since become an IT term that also refers to the infrastructure and environment in which software and systems operate. The "29.8" refers to the square footage of ANB Tokyo's 6th floor, which is a shared studio. In the heart of Roppongi, where commercial facilities, offices, and restaurants abound, a 29.8 tsubo floor in a building that was once a karaoke box has become a transit point for creators coming from different places and going to different destinations.
