Plug Magazine, a regional magazine of Okayama that has been photographing local fashion, culture, and people since its launch in 2004, will celebrate its 60th issue on April 20 with a panel photo exhibition featuring enlarged prints of selected photos and designs from the latest issue and back issues.
In the latest issue, the 60th-anniversary issue, under the theme of “Fashion and Future," Mutsue Kambara, a model from Okayama Prefecture who is also active in the Paris Collections, was photographed in downtown Okayama wearing Requal by Tetsuya Doi, a fashion designer from the same prefecture. The filming was intended to express the drastic change of the city through "clothes" and "people's appearance". In the current age of visualization on monitor screens, the significance and appeal of printed media will be communicated in the newspaper company's gallery by expressing photographs and texts in the form of printed textures.
