Lines running in all sorts of directions may appear to be drawn willy-nilly, but are careful expressions of the artist’s intent. After applying masking tape along lines drawn on a canvas covered with a base coat of acrylic paint, she then fills in the painting using oil paints. The lines that appear when the tape is removed become both the figure and the ground. The motifs of her drawings are mainly other people's bodies. They meld together with the oil paint on top, evoking both disintegration and creation.
