Four times a year, the Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery introduces the work of artists from Japan and abroad through special exhibitions on a wide range of themes including painting, sculpture, photography, video, design, fashion, and architecture. The Terada Collection, which was donated by Mr. Kotaro Terada (1927-2018), contains post-war artwork including work by father and son, Tatsuoki and Fumio Nambata, two of Japan's leading abstract painters. Furthermore, following the wishes of the late Tatsuoki Nambata, “Project N" is being held at the same time as the special exhibition as a series to introduce young artists in Japan. The work of young artists selected by the Foundation's selection committee will be exhibited in the 4th floor corridor.
