All eight artists are inspired by the existence of living things, such as characters and animals, and weave their concepts into their work.
Ryuma Imai draws accidental creatures by dripping paint on paper or canvas. Yoshie Kuroda creates imaginary creatures called "Mokemokemono" from discarded clothing. Suma prints newspapers and flyers on thinly sliced plywood using silkscreen and draws pop animals with ironic messages to society. Seto examines natural science and creates sculptures in terracotta, mainly using wild animals as motifs. Ryosuke Tei draws "D.O.A.T.," a character created for art, which is not bound by any set personality or gender. Arata Higuchi depicts the changing colors of himself as he communicates with his surroundings through chameleons. Fragile develops a series of "Fragile Creatures" with a thin balloon membrane to sound a warning against the mass consumption of life today. And Haruo Wada creates heartwarming wood sculptures that allow the viewer to freely create a story before and after the creature.
