Artists

Fumiko Hori
Fumiko Hori, known as a "flower painter," created her masterpiece "Phantom Flower - Blue Poppy" at age 82 after climbing the Himalayas. Hori traveled the world with an adventurous spirit, seeking to capture diverse life forms through art— from animals adapting to any environment to trees and flowers that bloomed in season. This retrospective exhibition, marking the 5th anniversary of Hori's passing, features approximately 60 works spanning the artist's 80-year career. It explores Hori's emotional journey and deep connection with all living things through paintings and travel sketches, accompanied by Hori's own reflections.
