Artists

Ryohei Yamashita
Renowned for his persistent exploration of the theme of "movement" in the contemporary art scene, Ryohei Yamashita will present his solo exhibition "7 Motions" at Mu Gallery in Tennozu. This exhibition, born out of his years-long pursuit, offers an opportunity to deeply reconsider the origins of expression through a dynamic array of artworks.

The exhibited pieces feature symbolic motifs such as athletes and samurai, capturing their powerful yet delicate movements with Yamashita's distinctive touch, derived from interviews and sketches. Beyond tranquil portraits, these works depict the inner essence and passion of the individuals brought forth by their movements.
