In the late 19th century, Oscar Wilde and Aubrey Beardsley reimagined a verse from the New Testament, creating the iconic work Salome. This masterpiece of fin-de-siècle literature is known for its blend of fantastical elements such as the macabre and eros, inspiring many artists. An exhibition featuring 15 artists from different genres, including painting, sculpture, and puppetry, explores themes like Eros and Thanatos, memento mori, and femme fatale within the mysterious world of Salome.
