Kadokawa Culture Museum
Finished

Artists

Salvador Dalí
Born in Spain, Salvador Dali became a renowned artist of the 20th century, depicting a fantastical and surreal inner world with meticulous realism. This exhibition at the Kadokawa Culture Museum presents his life, showcasing a range of his works, including paintings, prints, sculptures, objects, stage arts, jewelry design, advertising, movies, and writings through an immersive digital art experience.

The exhibition features well-known masterpieces such as "The Persistence of Memory" (1931), "The Temptation of St. Anthony" (1946), and "Leda Atomica" (1949), among others. The visuals, composed of photographs, installations, films, and documentary photographs, are projected 360 degrees on the floor and walls, accompanied by the music of Pink Floyd throughout.

With Dalí's unique appearance characterized by his distinctive mustache, obsession with the bizarre and supernatural, affection for his wife Gala, who also served as his muse and collaborator, and his diverse activities across various media, the immersive visuals focus on various aspects of Dalí, stimulating the viewer's imagination and inviting them into Dalí's peculiar world.
