Sanrio Designers Works Exhibition

Sakata City Museum of Art
Finished
Sakata City Museum of Art presents a special exhibition featuring the work of Sanrio designers.
Sanrio has created more than 450 character designs since its establishment in 1960. Some of these characters, such as Hello Kitty, have been very popular for nearly 50 years. How has Sanrio created such characters, and why are they loved for so long? This exhibition focuses on the production side, displaying original design drawings from the early days of Sanrio characters, stories about their creation, goods, and other valuable materials, tracing the evolution of characters, and exploring the secrets behind their long-lasting popularity.
