Sawako Goda
Born in Kochi in 1940, died in Kanagawa in 2016. Sawako Goda attended Musashino Art University where she primarily produced objet d'art which earned her the recognition of Shuzo Takiguchi. As her career as an artist progressed, she subsequently demonstrated talents in oil painting, photography, film, the art of play scenic, and other media.
After closing her exhibition at the Museum of Art, Kochi, Sawako Goda's exhibition "Goda Sawako: A Retrospective / I had no way or intention of leaving." is now being held at the Mitaka City Gallery of Art. In conjunction with this exhibition, we are pleased to present the 11th exhibition of Sawako Goda at Jiro Miura Gallery. For this exhibition, in addition to works from the gallery's collection, we will borrow works from the collection of people who were friends with the artist.
