Scorpion Dagger (James Carr) is a Montreal-based digital artist renowned for animated short films blending art history cutouts, social commentary, and pop culture. Scorpion Dagger's work has transitioned from online to gallery exhibitions worldwide, featuring commissions from esteemed clients like The Cluny Museum, The New York Times, Gucci, Adult Swim, Fender, and the Bavarian State Opera. Additionally, the artist has ventured into music video production and animation for documentaries, showcasing diverse creative talents. This exhibition is heavily inspired by the artist's trip to Japan last summer. Captivated, flooded with ideas from chaotic cities to beautiful countryside, Scorpion Dagger imagines taking the regular characters on vacation, blending them with the experience in Japan.
