Artists

Shigeki Matsuyama
Shigeki Matsuyama, an illustrator turned artist since 2011, is known for "Portrait of Dazzle," which meticulously traces only the eyes of online photos. Using geometric dazzle camouflage, Matsuyama depicts a different persona to symbolize the dangers of internet anonymity. The exhibition, titled "Is This Human?," aims to raise awareness about online bots mimicking human behavior. In addition to the iconic "Portrait of Dazzle," the display features "Portrait of Dazzle (Bot)," focusing on bots, and a new work titled "Clipping," addressing the issue of fake news. Matsuyama's creations prompt viewers to reflect on how we handle technology and information in our AI-driven lives.
