Shinran and Takadayama - The National Treasures Senju-ji Temple

Mie Prefectural Museum
Finished
This exhibition introduces Shinran, who occupies an important position in the history of Japanese culture and thought, with a focus on the National Treasures "Seiho Shinan-sho" and "Sancho Wasan" in the collection of the Takada head temple (Senju-ji Temple) and the important cultural properties "Shinran Shonin no Shoto" and "Senshuji Shokyo". This exhibition will highlight the relationship between Shinran, who lived in Kyoto in his later years, and his disciples in Kanto, far away from the capital, through Shinran's handwritten letters and other authentic documents.
