While Shoen, Shoko, and Atsushi Uemura each have different subjects and painting styles, the passion for pursuing the unique beauty of Japanese painting may quietly continue to be inherited in their underlying aesthetic consciousness.
In this year marking the 30th anniversary of the Shouhaku Museum, this exhibition will introduce the lineage of beauty spanning three generations of the Uemura family, who have pursued their respective paths while connecting through their art.
