Shoen and Shoko Uemura - Writings on Each Other

Shouhaku Art Museum
Finished

Artists

Shoen Uemura, Shoko Uemura
Out of mutual respect Shoen and Shoko Uemura did not talk to each other about their paintings.

However, there are a number of writings that have survived in which Shoko talked about his mother Shoen. There are also references to Shoko in Shoen's writings.

This exhibition introduces the works of Shoen and Shoko based on the words that Shoko spoke of Shoen and that Shoen mentioned in her writings.
