Since its establishment, the Irie Taikichi Irie Memorial Museum of Photography Nara City has held exhibitions focusing on (1) the preservation and exhibition of works by Taikichi Irie, (2) artists of outstanding artistic talent, (3) works related to the Silk Road, Buddhism, and history, and (4) works by promising young photographers. The development of young photographers' works in particular was added at the behest of Taikichi Irie during his lifetime, and is an expression of the museum's desire to be a place that nurtures and showcases young photographers.
The exhibition, titled "Emerging Photographers," is intended to provide an opportunity to introduce the young talent that is shining with unique sensibility in the midst of the currents of the times. The exhibition hopes to create a free space without a unified theme so that visitors can experience the collaboration of spaces created by the works of young photographers, which are brimming with individuality. This exhibition will feature two emerging artists Shogo Yamada and Eriko Masaoka.
