KINOSHO KIKAKU will host a solo exhibition by Shoichi Tsurukawa titled “garden.” starting April 11, 2026. These dyed paintings express a complex palette of emotions through patterns created using the traditional “tsutsugaki-nassen” dyeing technique, with cotton stuffed into the fabric to create a unique texture.
Past works have been cut into garment patterns and reconstructed as “wearable paintings.” The wearer brings the work to life, becoming part of the design and helping to complete the piece. Please come and enjoy this collection of works that bloom in a variety of forms.
