Shoko Kanazawa
Shoko Kanazawa is a globally renowned calligrapher. Born in 1985 in Tokyo, she began studying calligraphy under her mother, Taiko Kanazawa, at the age of five. Her first solo exhibition, held in Ginza Shogaro at the age of 20, received acclaim, leading her to conduct dedicatory calligraphy performances at shrines and temples across Japan, as well as hold numerous solo exhibitions both domestically and internationally. Her achievements range from delivering speeches as Japan's representative at the United Nations headquarters to serving as a Special Support Ambassador for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

Intending to bring calligraphy to both enthusiasts and newcomers, this exhibition presents works exhibited for the first time in Hiroshima Prefecture, originally showcased in Taiwan in 2020. Additionally, visitors will have the opportunity to view over 40 masterpieces ranging from recent works of the Reiwa era to representative works of the Heisei era, including "Light in the Heart" from 2013, the gold leaf original painting "Soar" for the Tokyo 2020 official art poster in 2020, and the poster for NHK Taiga Drama "Heike Monogatari" from 2011.
