'Simulationism' is a term indicating a trend in contemporary art. Specifically, it refers to an approach where consciously incorporating widely known images, such as those disseminated to the public through advertising or media, and iconic paintings, into artworks and transforming them boldly.

In the 'Chrome' series, Buggy uses a technique where mediums, resin, and silver paint are layered on the face or expression of symbolic figures in portraits to induce distortions in the viewer's perception and discoveries of self-similarity. Yutaka Ura, on the other hand, samples the period of transition from analog to digital that he experienced during the 90s to the early 2000s. He expresses digitally created graphics with analog knit.

Buggy seeks to induce mutual reactions by expressing organic portraits with inorganic materials, while Ura aims to cause glitches by representing sterile digital images with analog knit. Although they share a conceptual aspect, enjoy the chemical reaction of the two artists' works using entirely different techniques.
