Artists

Taro Okamoto
Many people and creatures appear in Taro Okamoto's works, but particularly since the late 1960s, the motif of "faces" has increasingly appeared in his works. For Okamoto, the world is an infinite number of "faces" colliding with each other. As if to prove this point, Okamoto gave "life" to everything around us, including chairs, glasses, and speakers with eyes, noses, and mouths. This exhibition introduces the many faces painted by Taro Okamoto, who saw the "world" overflowing with various expressions.
