The Matsumoto City Museum currently houses approximately 50 pieces of sword-related materials. With the cooperation of Maru Haku Tomo no Kai, the museum established a sword committee in Heisei 17 (2005) to ensure the preservation of the stored swords and has consistently maintained them.
In preparation for the relocation to the new museum, the swords that had been moved were inspected and maintained. This exhibition introduces this process and also showcases selected pieces.
